Dr Kashmira Pillay completed her medical degree at the University of the Witwatersrand. She has worked at multiple hospitals including Chris Hani Baragwanath, Raheema Moosa and Groote Schuur hospital which has allowed her to gain extensive experience in hands-on clinical practice. During this time, she rotated through many specialities including pediatrics, anesthetics, trauma and surgery.

After this, she worked at a Military Sickbay, where she was a primary care provider. During this period, she treated serving members of the military, veterans and their families. It was in this unexpected setting that she discovered her love for primary care.

Dr Kashmira is passionate about long term patient care, fostering a relationship of trust and empowering patients with lifestyle advice. She prides herself on finding the most recent and relevant research available to manage medical conditions and enjoys taking the time to fully explain medical conditions and treatment plans to patients.

She has experience treating patients of all ages, from paediatric through to geriatric patients and has a special interest in women’s health and lifestyle medicine.
